Chained Beasts Achievements: All 26 Visible Ones, Acts and the 500-Kill Wall
All 26 visible Chained Beasts achievements with Steam completion rates — the three-act ladder, the 500-kill cliff at 21.1%, and the stunt kills almost nobody lands.

Short answer: Chained Beasts has 60 achievements — 26 visible and 34 hidden (the highest hidden ratio of any game we track). Average completion across the visible set is 47.9%. The campaign itself is not the wall: 61.8% reach The Senate. The walls are 500 kills at 21.1% and the stunt kills, which fall as low as 13.7%.
Read the three tables below and the game's actual difficulty curve appears: it is not "can you finish", it is "do you keep playing after you finish".
60 total, 26 visible, 34 hidden
| Source | Count | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Steam store page | 60 | All achievement slots |
| Steam community page — named | 26 | Achievements with a name and global rate |
| Steam community page — hidden | 34 | "Details revealed once you unlock it" |
34 of 60 being hidden is unusual and tells you something about the design: most of the interesting content is conditional tricks the developer did not want to spoil.
The three acts, and a 30-point slide
| Act | Achievement | Requirement | Completion |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Can't Stand The Heat | Survive Carthage | 92.1% |
| 2 | Out of the Cold | Survive Germania | 75.6% |
| 3 | Rebel Leader | Reach The Senate | 61.8% |
Carthage to Germania costs 16.5 points; Germania to The Senate costs 13.8. That is a remarkably even spread — no single act is a filter. About six in ten players who start reach the final arena, which for a co-op roguelike is high.
The kill ladder: a 52-point wall at 500
Four achievements are pure kill counts, and they are the clearest difficulty signal in the list.
| Achievement | Requirement | Completion | Drop from previous |
|---|---|---|---|
| X | Kill 10 opponents | 96.5% | — |
| L | Kill 50 opponents | 87.4% | −9.1 |
| C | Kill 100 opponents | 73.4% | −14.0 |
| D | Kill 500 opponents | 21.1% | −52.3 |
The first 100 kills cost 23 points. The next 400 cost 52 points. That is the single steepest cliff in any achievement list we have measured.
Two readings, both true:
- Runs are short. If a typical run produces tens of kills, 500 is dozens of runs.
- People stop after "finishing". 61.8% reach The Senate but only 21.1% reach 500 kills, so roughly two-thirds of players who complete the campaign never play enough fights to hit the number.
If you are chasing 100%, treat D as a background task: it will complete on its own long before the stunt achievements do, but only if you keep running after the credits.
The stunt kills: the game's identity, the lowest rates
Chained Beasts sells itself on the chain and the arena hazards. These are the achievements that prove you used them.
| Achievement | Requirement | Completion |
|---|---|---|
| Trip Master | Trip 100 opponents with your chain | 51.2% |
| Pop! | Squeeze an opponent with your chain | 64.0% |
| Ultra Damage | Crit backstab while Furied | 52.9% |
| Pincushion | 10 projectiles stuck in you at once | 76.8% |
| Two For One | Kill 2+ opponents with one attack | 81.3% |
| Destruction of Property | Destroy 10+ obstacles in a round | 85.2% |
| Fire Pro | Wrestler sets himself on fire leaping at you | 34.0% |
| Deep Impact | Opponent dies to the Goliath's leap attack | 30.9% |
| Fired Up | Spend ≥10% of a round on fire | 28.2% |
| Stampede | Beastmaster Barca trampled by the Rhino | 25.4% |
| Clearing the Skies | Kill the catapult before the Praefectus falls back | 21.4% |
| Stick Around | Impale an opponent on a spike wall | 14.0% |
| Turning the Tide | Send the Flail Master flying with his own flail | 13.7% |
Notice the split. The passive ones (getting hit, destroying scenery, squeezing) sit above 64%. The deliberate setup ones — baiting a wrestler into fire, luring Barca into the Rhino, catching a flail — sit between 13.7% and 34%.
The rarest achievement in the whole visible list, Turning the Tide (13.7%), requires disarming the Flail Master and killing him with his own weapon. It is not hard in the mechanical sense; it requires you to decide to do it before the fight starts. Fourteen percent of players ever made that decision.
Beast runs: one character, one win
| Achievement | Requirement | Completion |
|---|---|---|
| Free as an Ibex | Win a run as the Ibex | 17.6% |
| Free as a Rhino | Win a run as the Rhino | 15.7% |
Compare with 61.8% reaching The Senate. So: six in ten finish a run, but fewer than two in ten finish one as either beast. Most players complete the game once, with one character, and never revisit.
This is the same pattern as Neon Abyss 2's agent unlocks — the roster is the least-explored system.
The "systems you can skip" achievements
| Achievement | Requirement | Completion | Reading |
|---|---|---|---|
| No Rest Day | Train to exhaustion | 19.9% | 4 in 5 players never pushed training to the limit |
| Fast and Furious | Spend ≥30% of a round Vigored | 42.4% | Vigor uptime is low even though it is a core buff |
| No Ammo? No Problem! | Kill with an empty bow | 39.7% | Ranged builds are a minority |
No Rest Day at 19.9% is the quiet one: exhaustion training is presumably a stat-gain mechanic, and four out of five players never used it. If your runs feel underpowered in act 2, that is the first system to check.
What this means for a 100% run
- Do the stunt kills before the kill grind. Stunt achievements require setup decisions that get harder to make once you are strong enough to kill everything by accident. 500 kills will come on its own.
- Run each beast at least once early. Ibex and Rhino wins are 15.7–17.6%, and they double as practice with different chain physics.
- Train to exhaustion at least once per run. At 19.9% it is the most-skipped system that affects power.
- Reaching The Senate is not the end of the list. Two-thirds of finishers stop there, which is exactly why the 500-kill number is so low.
Frequently asked questions
How many achievements does Chained Beasts have?
60: 26 visible with public names and rates, plus 34 hidden — the largest hidden share in our set.
What is the rarest Chained Beasts achievement?
Among visible ones, Turning the Tide at 13.7% (kill the Flail Master with his own flail), then Stick Around at 14.0% (impale an opponent on a spike wall).
Is the 500-kill achievement hard?
Not mechanically — it is a time cost. D (500 kills) sits at 21.1% while C (100 kills) is 73.4%, a 52-point drop. It completes passively if you keep running after finishing the campaign.
Why are 34 achievements hidden?
Because most of them are conditional tricks rather than progress markers. The developer hides the conditions so players discover them; Steam will only reveal each one once unlocked.
Can I get every achievement solo?
Unknown. All visible achievements are achievable solo in principle, but several require specific enemies and hazards to line up, which is easier with a second player to bait them.
Source note: Completion rates are Steam's global figures, read from the public achievement page for Chained Beasts (App 3569420) on 20 October 2026; the 60-slot total comes from the store data. Achievement names and requirement text are Steam's wording. Act order and the "stunt vs passive" grouping are reconstructions from requirement text and rates, not from an official list.
